My Name Is Khan focuses on the relationship between the Western world and Islam and how that has changed over the past few years. It also describes the journey of one family and how it changes because of 9/11. Rizvan Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome, a type of Autism. He falls in love with a Hindu woman Mandira (Kajol) who is also a single mother living in San Francisco. The terror attacks and how it affects their relationship and life is the theme of the movie.
