Rani and yoga expert Payal Gidwani have worked as a team to achieve the hot body that Rani would be flaunting in the movie.
Payal started off with Rani on April 16, 2008. At that time Rani weighed 56 kilos, which has now been brought down to 49-50 kilos.
Initially Rani had a heavy lower body. She could only do 5-10 Suryanamaskars and had very weak nerves. As a result, stretching would lead to cramps.

Deepika Padukone might have kick-started her Bollywood career with Shah Rukh Khan and since then is known to be part of his inner circle, but she claims she is more than open to branch out and work with King Khan's arch enemy Salman Khan.

The 34th annual mega-film show will run here from Sep 10-19. Anurag Singh’s “Dil Bole Hadippa” and Ashutosh Gowariker’s “What’s Your Rashee?” will make their world premiere at the festival. Announcing the names of 500 guests, including directors, producers, and actors, the organizers also included daytime TV talk show queen Oprah Winfrey, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson in the final list.
Other big names are Nicolas Cage, Sir Ridley Scott, Drew Barrymore, Kevin Spacey, Michael Douglas, Penelope Cruz and Keanu Reeves. Apart from Gowariker, Anurag Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Baweja, Rani Mukherjee, and Lisa Ray, the guest list also includes actor Abhay Deol, filmmaker Buddhadeb Dasgupta, Deepa Mehta’s brother Dilip Mehta, and documentary maker Vikram Jayanti.
Set for release September 18 in India, “Dil Bole Hadippa” is a hilarious drama-comedy with Shahid Kapoor (Rohan) and Rani Mukherjee (Veera Kaur) in lead roles. It also features Anupam Kher, Dalip Tahil, Rakhee Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra. “What’s Your Rashee?”, based on Gujarati novel Kimball Ravenswood by Madhu Arya, is a romantic comedy starring Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja.
These two Bollywood films are among 335 from 64 countries to be screened at the festival. These include 271 feature-length films. About 72 per cent of the films to be screened here will make their world or North American premieres.
According to the organizers, 71 directors will make their debut at the film festival, including Drew Barrymore with her comedy film “Whip It!” Deepa Mehta’s “Heaven on Earth” had its world premiere at the festival last year. Anees Bazmee’s hit “Singh is Kingg” and Nandita Das’s directorial debut “Firaaq” also had their gala premiere last year.

Filmmaker Karan Johar dismisses reports that his deal with Fox Star Studios for his forthcoming Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol-starrer is worth $20 million. He says the deal is not about the money, but an attempt to expand the reach of Hindi-language cinema with My Name Is Khan.
"Let me tell you the amount mentioned is nowhere near being a realistic one. The deal between Star Fox Studios, my company [Dharma Productions] and Red Chillies is an internal matter and can't be discussed in public. What makes this deal so historic is not the money involved, but the attempt to cross the diaspora with a Hindi-language film," Karan said.
He also rubbished reports that Fox is trying to give the Islamic world a positive image in the West by buying My Name Is Khan.
"It's not the politics of the film. It's when the film moves you on a human and emotional level that matters. My Name Is Khan endeavours to do just that. I don't think Fox was swayed by the positive message. It's the human aspect that won them over," he said.

We'll reach out in places where Hindi-language films have not gone before.
Why Fox Studios?
The Fox guys read the script and have followed the project. They're close enough to it to know what it's all about. I've shared a comfort zone with them from day one. Both Shah Rukh and I believe they are the best people to handle My Name Is Khan. They have faith in our brand power and content creation. It's not about money. It's all about mutual respect.
Is Fox trying to give the Islamic world a positive image in the West by buying a film about Islamic isolation and the western world?
It's not the politics of the film. It's when the film moves you on a human and emotional level that matters. My Name Is Khan endeavours to do just that. I don't think Fox was swayed by the positive message. It's the human aspect that won them over.

You are adapting Fox's Stepmom. Will there be more such adaptations of American films produced by Fox?
I'd always want to direct original content. But there are young filmmakers in my company who are excited by the idea of adapting films. Siddharth Malhotra, for example, is doing a Hindi version of Stepmom for our company. He's working really hard on it. An adaptation is as difficult as an original film.

The forthcoming Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), starting Sep 10, will have a strong Indian presence — while two mainstream Bollywood films “Dil Bole Hadippa” and “What’s Your Rashee?” will have their world premieres, Dilip Mehta’s “Cooking With Stella” has been selected for a screening in the prestigious Gala section.
Jon Amiel’s “Creation”, a bio-pic on Charles Darwin, is also being premiered in the same section where Dilip’s film is being screened and he says he is thrilled by the honour.
“The Toronto International Film Festival is, after Cannes, undoubtedly the most significant festival worldwide. To have one’s film participate in it is glory enough, but to have a gala screening and a world premiere is mind-blowing,” Dilip, brother of Canada-based Indian filmmaker Deepa Mehta, told IANS.
“For me, as first-time feature director this was such a tremendous high to have our film in the company of such an amazing film. ‘Creation’ nipped us all in the post but we were right up there. TIFF selected ‘Cooking With Stella’ for a gala screening for our world premiere on September 16th.
“The numbers are daunting. Approximately 3,000 plus films are submitted for the festival. Of these about 350 are selected of which 15 or so have the distinction of a gala screening at the amazing Roy Thomson Hall,” he added.
This was the very section where Deepa’s elegiac “Water” that had Lisa Ray, John Abraham and Seema Biswas in lead roles had been premiered. While “Water” focussed on the difficult lives of widows in the 1930s, Dilip’s film is in a different mood space.
“For 34 years, I have covered death, misfortune, war, plagues and other human tragedies for Time, Newsweek, National Geographic and other such major journals. I entered the world of cinema with ‘The Forgotten Woman’, a hard documentary to portray the reality of the widows of India.
“Similarly ‘Cooking With Stella’ also looks at a classic Indian tragedy, that of servants and employers but without wanting to give a lecture on morality.”
While filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker’s “What’s Your Raashee?” stars Priyanka Chopra and Hurman Baweja, “Dil Bole Hadippa” is Anurag Singh’s directorial debut. Produced by Yash Raj Films, it stars Rani Mukerji and Shahid Kapoor. Both the films are female-centric.
Apart from screenings, Indian actresses Seema Biswas and Shriya Saran will walk the red carpet.

Q: Why Fox Studios?
A: The Fox guys read the script and have followed the project. They’re close enough to it to know what it’s all about. I’ve shared a comfort zone with them from day one. Both Shah Rukh and I believe they are the best people to handle “My Name Is Khan”. They have faith in our brand power and content creation. It’s not about money. It’s all about mutual respect.
Q: Is Fox trying to give the Islamic world a positive image in the West by buying a film about Islamic isolation and the western world?
A: It’s not the politics of the film. It’s when the film moves you on a human and emotional level that matters. “My Name Is Khan” endeavours to do just that. I don’t think Fox was swayed by the positive message. It’s the human aspect that won them over. I believe in the emotional content of both my cinema and personal relationships. Look at the longevity of the association between my company Dharma Productions and Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies and you’ll see what I mean.
Q: You are adapting Fox’s “Stepmom”. Will there be more such adaptations of American films produced by Fox?
A: I’d always want to direct original content. But there are young filmmakers in my company who are excited by the idea of adapting films. Siddharth Malhotra, for example, is doing a Hindi version of “Stepmom” for our company. He’s working really hard on it. An adaptation is as difficult as an original film. And Siddharth is working really hard on it.
Q: What is the final cast of “Stepmom”?
A: It’s Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal.
Mumbai, He is a law abiding citizen, believes in the saying “jaisa desh waisa vesh” (When in Rome, do as the Romans do) and strictly follows the rules of the country he is visiting, but Shah Rukh Khan Tuesday said that his experience at the Newark airport’s immigration counter in the US was “embarrassing”.
“I am scared of the authorities and rules so I try to follow the rules of the country I travel to. Whenever I am in America, I have to report at least two hours in advance while travelling within the country for security reasons — they ask me to take off my clothes and shoes, and I do that. But I never experienced this kind of treatment,” Shah Rukh told reporters on his arrival here four days after he was detained for two hours at the Newark airport.
“There are some routine security measures – they check your finger prints and scan your retina. But the routine security process was not followed. Instead, the authorities asked me bizarre and irrelevant questions. I am not trying to make a point here, but why were security measures not followed?” he asked.
“The security of any country is important but caste, religion or race shouldn’t come in the way of security measures. You may call me a mega star, a celebrity, but basically I’m just a normal guy. But I’m lucky that I have access to friends in the (Indian) consulate whom I could call up. But there are hundreds of others who dont have this facility,” Shah Rukh pointed out.
Shah Rukh also denied that the detention drama was a publicity stunt for his forthcoming movie “My Name Is Khan”. He said: “I don’t think that I need publicity.”
To Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh’s allegation that he had blown the matter out of proportion to publicise his forthcoming film Shah Rukh retorted with a tongue-in-cheek reply: “Amar Singh is unwell, and I pray that he recovers soon with a healthy body and strong mind.”
Commenting on Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni advocating a tit-for-tat policy with the US after Shah Rukh’s detention drama, the actor said that her comments indicated that the government is looking into the larger problem.
Shah Rukh, know for his humour, also said: “If you want to give a tit-for-tat policy to American actors, then call me to frisk Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox whenever they are visiting India.”
New Delhi, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is on cloud nine after scoring a hat-trick with her latest release “Kaminey”.
“Thank you guys (audiences) for your positivity on ‘Kaminey’! And yes… it is a hat-trick.. Yay,” elated Priyanka posted on her Twitter page.
The 27-year-old has delivered three hits in a row – first she wowed the audience with her power-packed performance as an ambitious model in Madhur Bhandarkar’s “Fashion”, then as a chic girl in Tarun Mansukhani’s “Dostana” and now as a typical Maharashtrian girl in “Kaminey”, a dark thriller by Vishal Bharadwaj.
In her next “What’s Your Rashee”, she will be seen essaying 12 different roles – arguably no other actor has attempted. Priyanka is also busy shooting for Yash Raj Films’ “Pyaar Impossible”, in which she stars opposite Uday Chopra.

There have been widespread media reports in last few days about Abhishek Bachchan being the next in line to tattoo his super star actress wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s name on his forearm. Bollywood stars have spoken out to express their support for Shah Rukh Khan after he was detained by US authorities because his surname was on a list of common terrorist names.The actor had flown to the US to celebrate Indian Independence Day alongside other Bollywood names such as Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor. Director Karan Johar, who is helming Khan’s forthcoming feature My Name Is Khan, said that he was shocked.What I feel that what happened today [Saturday] is very unfortunate and we need to know why did that happen to him, because I think there is no reason that he had to go through all that.

Kareena Kapoor gifted her beau Saif Ali Khan, a four days secret vacation on his 39th birthday.
A source says, “Saif and Kareena always try to spend time together on each other’s birthday. But this time they had professional commitments in Houston due to Independence Day. They also had to attend a meet and greet event in Chicago. They reached Chicago late evening on August 15 to attend an event with Shah Rukh and Katrina.”
Saif and Kareena flew to an undisclosed location near Chicago to spend their vacation, “Kareena planned the four-day holiday as she wanted to surprise Saif. They don’t want to reveal the location and will be back in Mumbai only by the end of this week,” adds the source.
Now that’s a perfect gift for Saifoo.
