Since 2001, we have been hearing that Hrithik Roshan will act in a Hollywood film. Reportedly, Hrithik was to act in a film titled Aditya, to be produced by Los Angeles-based James Killough and to be directed by Tarsem Singh, who made to Hollywood's A-list with The Cell. But the film never went on the floors. Now, Hrithik's splash in Hollywood doesn't look like a very distant dream.
Seeing the trailers and promos of Kites, Rakesh Roshan has been getting calls from Hollywood filmmakers. These makers are impressed by Hrithik's performance in Kites and his sizzling chemistry with his co-actor, Barbara Mori. A source said that Hrithik and Barbara have ignited a never-seen-before passion on screen. This has particularly caught the eye of many Hollywood directors. Interestingly, quite a few of these offers are for romantic films, some are even romantic comedies. These offers have come in just early this week. Hrithik is dwelling on them.
The heartwarming story of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) keeps getting better and better. Sanjay Gadhvi seems to be planning for the third sequel for the movie ‘Dhoom 3.’ He has already spoken to the blue-eyed boy of Yash Raj, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and is waiting for a green signal from Aditya Chopra.
“Neil who’s very close to Yash Raj Films has convinced Aditya Chopra to let Gadhvi do the third Dhoom movie. Neil himself is very keen on being part of the third installment. Adi assured him there would be room for the young actor who’s currently shooting for Yash Raj’s ‘Lafange Parinde,’” said a source.
Indian origin model and actress Padma Lakshmi has given birth to her first child, a baby girl. She has named her daughter ‘Krishna.’
“Mother and baby are well and happy,” her spokesman informed.
The model had suffered endometriosis, as the doctor stated it as, “nothing short of a medical miracle.”
Padma Lakshmi, who lives in America, has denied naming the father of her child. But he is reportedly Adam Dell, the brother of the computer tycoon Michael Dell.
Padma was previously been linked up with Teddy Forstmann, a founder of the private equity firm ‘Forstmann Little & Company.’
Yesteryear’s heartthrob actress Zeenat Aman will be performing her song ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’ from the movie ‘Qurbani’ with her co-star Kabir Bedi after 38 years, and Lata Mangeshkar will lend her voice for the actress.
The two actors will be making a comeback in Sanjay Sharma’s film ‘Dunno Y…Na Jaane Kyun’ in a substantial role.
Lata Mangeshkar has sung lovely numbers for Zeenie as ‘Yashomati Maiyya Se Bole Nandlala,’ ‘Panna ki Tamanna Hai,’ ‘Main Na Bhoolungi’ and ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram,’ has lent her voice once again for the actress, apparently after a gap of almost 25 years. Saif Ali Khan has rubbished all the rumors associating with his second production venture ‘AgentVinod.’ The rumors floating in the market suggested that the project has come to a halt after Saif’s partner was not showing the interest.
“A lot has been said about ‘Agent Vinod,’ but we are very much on track. Final touches are being given to the script and at the end of March we should have the film on the floors,” said Saif.
‘Agent Vinod’ will be the second production by Saif after ‘Love Aaj Kal,’ which will be directed by Sriram Raghavan.

First it was Anurag Basu’s “Kites” that had Brett Ratner from Hollywood to put together the material. Now director Leena Yadav has roped in Oscar winning editor Hughes Winborne to edit her film “Teen Patti”, which is releasing Friday.
Winborne, who has edited Will Smith starrer “In Pursuit Of Happyness” and “Seven Pounds” and also won an Oscar for his editing in Paul Haggis’s “Crash”, has ‘re-edited’ “Teen Patti”, which was first edited by Kaushik Das.
“We needed that international sensibility to be placed on the footage. We sent a subtitled print to Hughes. But he soon did away with the subtitles. He got all the Hindi jokes and punchlines,” Yadav told IANS.

Prakash Jha, a bollywood filmmaker launched a TV channel called ‘Morya’ last week. The entire cast of the upcoming movie, ‘Rajneeti‘ was present there along with Bhojpuri stars Ravi Kisan and Manoj Tiwari. Prakash Jha asked Katrina to speak in Bhojpuri. A source said, “Considering that Katrina speaks Hindi with difficulty, she had goose bumps when she was asked to speak in Bhojpuri. However, Prakash gave her three tutors Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kisan and Manoj Bajpai. Katrina was willing to learn. They could manage to teach her only one line as it was difficult for her to understand.”
According to some reliable sources, Rohan Sippy’s next film, Dum Maro Dum, is about the drug racket in Goa. The leading lady of this movie is Kangna Ranaut who is playing a Goan junkie in this movie. MY NAME IS KHAN makes two strong statements...
The first: B.C. and A.D. are designations used to label years in the Julian and Gregorian calendars. There's a third designation now - 9/11. Post September 11, the world stands divided. Terrorist outfits continue to strike in the name of religion and the common man, not even remotely associated with these groups, is bearing the brunt. The world is not a safe place anymore.
The second statement: There're two sets of people in this world - the good and the bad. No matter how strong the evil forces are, good always triumphs.
MY NAME IS KHAN is a fascinating love story, has an angle of religion and a world-shaking incident as a backdrop. It not only entertains, but also mesmerises, enthrals and captivates the viewer in those 2.40 hours. The pretty actress Preity Zinta is all done with her course in the prestigious Harvard business school is all set to dabble in various aspects of the entertainment industry, including production.
Narrating the light moments of her studies at Harvard Preity laughs and says, “The Indians in the faculty did recognize me eventually. They were taken aback that I was coming to Harvard. But they were discreet. They’d come up and say. ‘Oh my God, what’re you doing here? Why aren’t you doing movies any more?’”
Apparently the Bollywood fever caught up with the actress at the serious business school eventually, as she narrates, “At the gym on the campus I saw a work-out dance class for cardio exercises and when I went there they were dancing to Bollywood stuff including my ‘Where’s the party tonight’. When I joined them the dance instructor said, ‘You really move your hips well.’ I had the best time of my life.”

Though Adnan Sami’s scheduled wedding on January 31 to his Afghani-German girlfriend Roya Faryabi in Munich fell through, it now comes to light that the couple went through a secret nikaah ceremony at Adnan’s residence in Mumbai on Friday, January 30, a day before the wedding-cards announced the wedding in Munich.
Only close family members of Adnan were present at this nikaah.
Says a source close to Adnan, “The wedding in Munich had to be cancelled because the courts did not allow Adnan to leave the country, much as he had hoped to. There are serious charges of domestic violence against Adnan. He was not allowed to leave forMunich and the wedding plans in Germany had to be put off.”
Rather than cancel the wedding Adnan decided to have a flash ceremony in Mumbai. All the arrangements were made by Adnan’s son Azaan, Adnan now intends to host a wedding reception in Munich at Roya’s place and then another reception in Mumbai for all his friends. But as things stand Roya and Adnan are now man and wife.
Speaking from Munich Adnan’s third wife Roya Fariyadi says, “Adnan is the perfect man for me. I love not just the man but also his mother and son. In fact Adnan’s son Azaan and I get along like a house on fire. We often gang up together and tease the hell out of Adnan.”
Roya says she is not the least perturbed by Adnan’s past record of broken marriages. “What happened in the past is the past. What I see is a man I’d like to spend my life with. Adnan is kind, caring and gentle. I hope we can make our marriage last forever. Like any good wife I plan to shift to Mumbai to be with Adnan and his family. But I’ll keep visiting Germany. That’s where my parents stay.”
Roya’s parents are from Afghanistan .They moved to Germany 30 years ago and hold German passports.
Adnan’s first wife Zeba Bakhtiar has spoken to Roya. They apparently like one another. As for his second wife the warring Sabah, her views on Adnan’s third wife are now known but easy to guess.
At first Adnan was reluctant to confirm the secret nikaah. He finally said, “Yes we got married last Friday at a secret nikaah. And we’re loving it. Now deal with it.”
She continues, “Krishna is not apologetic about her needs. She gets attracted to Arshad’s character and there is a certain culmination to it. With Naseer saab she enjoys that attention. He woos her in a classical way.”
No wonder Vidya falls for Naseeruddin Shah when he woos her with Dil toh bachcha hai ji.

Kathmandu, Even as India’s ultra-right party, the Shiv Sena, went on a rampage in Indian film capital Mumbai, attacking the cinema halls offering advance booking for the upcoming Shah Rukh Khan starrer “My Name Is Khan”, the Nepal distributor of the film said he fears no such trouble in the Himalayan republic.
“The Shiv Sena protest in India is not about the film. It’s about cricket. The Nepal screenings will not be affected,” the film’s Nepal distributor Nakim Uddin told IANS.
Directed by Karan Johar, “My Name Is Khan”, that has Kajol in the female lead, is scheduled to be screened in four multiplexes in Kathmandu along with smaller theatres in nearly a dozen towns outside Kathmandu valley from Friday when it releases worldwide.
However, unlike in India, where the Shiv Sena has trained its sights on the film due to Shah Rukh Khan defending Pakistan’s cricket players, in Nepal, the Sena’s sister organisation, the Nepal Shiv Sena, is unlikely to go on the warpath.
Mumbai, Shiv Sena activists Tuesday went on a rampage and attacked several cinema halls that will screen Shah Rukh Khan’s “My Name Is Khan” despite the Mumbai Police assuring full security at the 63 cinemas and multiplexes that will showcase the movie.
Sena mobs attacked and damaged the booking windows of the Mehul Theatre in Mulund and staged noisy protests outside Shreyas Theatre in Ghatkopar, both in the suburbs, officials said.

As per sources that Shekhar Kapur is going to direct a Hindi movie and Hrithik Roshan has been roped in to play the lead role.
This is the second time when Bollywood sensation Hrithik is planning to take a project of Shekhar Kapur and previously almost a decade back for his movie ‘Paani’ when Hrithik made his debut in Bollywood industry. But somehow the movie never took off.
Reports claim that Kapur approached Hrithik with a ready script for his next film. According to a source, “Hrithik and Shekhar have met several times to discuss working together but somehow, things never worked out. Now that Hrithik is ready with ‘Kites’, Kapur feels it`s the right time to back that up with his film.”
It was reported that Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani pair Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor would act together again in a film by Imtiaz Ali.
